Mac OS X provides support for users with disabilities in the form of VoiceOver (Apple’s full-featured screen reading technology), speech recognition and text-to-speech features, and mouse and keyboard alternatives. Mac OS X includes the accessibility programming interface, which defines how an assistive technology, such as a refreshable braille display or head-tracking mouse, can communicate with and control an application.
