Emily was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 20,1972.She earned her bachelor degree in Wake Forest University, doubled major in history and English, after completing her undergraduate degree, she went to University of Virgina to attend law school. And then in 2001, she decided to pursue her writing career, and in 2004, she finally managed to publish her first book "Something Borrowed".
