Día de San Valentín
Es una celebración que se realiza el 14 de febrero en honor a uno o más antiguos mártires cristianos llamados San Valentín. Fue establecido por el Papa Gelasio I el año 496 después de Cristo.
El día primero se relacionaba con el amor romántico en el círculo de Geffrey Chaucer en la Alta Edad Media, cuando la tradición del amor cortés florecía. En el siglo 15 se transformó en una ocasión en que los enamorados se expresaban su amor regalándose flores, ofreciéndose golosinas y enviándose tarjetas de saludo.
