basking ajkula
Basking ajkula je druga najveća vrsta ajkula koja živi u istočnim delovima Severnog Pacifika. Basking ajkule su dobile ovo ime zato što se često sunčaju blizu površine vode. Basking ajkule se hrane filtriranjem. Najčešće borave u umerenim obalnim vodama gde živi plankton, njihova glavna hrana. U poslednje vreme objavljuju vesti o ovim ajkulama zato što su označene kao ugrožena vrsta zbog dramatičnog pada njihove populacije izazvanog preteranim ribolovom.
